Visual Hierarchy, Balance, and Contrast
Springboard provided wireframes for students to practice creating hierarchy, balance, and contract for a Jeans e-commerce website.
Balance & Scale — Exercise 2
To practice the same concepts in a mobile format, a hi-fi wireframe was provided for a news platform.
Color & Constrast
To practice color choices and contrast, students were provided a poorly designed calendar to improve. I chose a new color palette and made some changes to the way typography was highlighted on the page.
Proximity, Repetition, and Alignment
Proximity, repetition, and alignment was practiced with a stock trading website. This page was the most involved of the exercises I've done so far so it was good practice to keep track of the details pixel by pixel.
Proximity, Repetition, and Alignment — Exercise 2
Hierarchy was demonstrated in this exercise through typography and alignment. I was also excited to experiment with interactive elements in an app by showing the progress of an ongoing meditation.
Space & Scale
Changelly is a secure online platform for buying and selling cryptocurrency. The wireframe provided was not using space and scale effectively. There was an overwhelming amount of information on the page, so I implemented a rotating carousel to highlight company features.
